Straka and Schwab beaten off at the start in Charlotte

Austrian golf pros Sepp Straka and Matthias Schwab botched their opening round at the PGA tournament in Charlotte, North Carolina. Straka from Vienna played a round of 72 on Thursday and was not in the top 70 in the intermediate ranking with one shot over par, Schwab from Styria even had five over par on the scorecard after 13 holes and had to tremble for the cut.

Lukas Nemecz placed himself in the middle of the field after his opening round at the World Tour tournament in Rome. The Styrian played a par round with a 71 and was thus tied for 41st place. The gap to the leading Frenchman Matthieu Pavon is eight strokes.
