On the weekend of 22 and 23 April it was held at Misterwhitein the province of Catania, the fortieth edition of the Italian Badminton Master Championships which saw the participation of over one hundred athletes from all over Italy.
The Asd Space Bad company of Settimo Torinese presented three components at the start: Luke Novarain his fifth participation, who competed for the first time in the Over 45 category, Joseph Nobile e Christian Difortiboth on stage in Over 35 and making their absolute debut in the world of Masters.

At the end of the two days of competitions, and after taking part in numerous exciting and balanced competitions, the bearers of the Settimo Torinese club managed to get on the podium. In particular, Giuseppe Nobile stood out who, without losing even a set, managed to become the new Italian champion in the singles discipline, defeating in the final 21-18, 21-9 Marcus De Rubeus of Asd New Sport. In the same category, the excellent third place of Christian Diforti, stopped in the semifinal by De Rubeis himself, should also be noted. In the men’s doubles, the Space Bad duo was instead unable to get on the podium, despite showing off excellent performances against top-level opponents.
Luca Novara also finished third in his age category, defeated only by the former Italian champion Klaus Raffeiner who then triumphed also in the final. The athlete from Turin also finished third in the men’s doubles, together with the athlete of Indian origin Jayakumar Vedagiri of the Asd Oratorio 2B.
After this important appointment, the Space Bad athletes will be engaged on May 20 and 21 in Novi Ligure in the Regional Absoluti.
