Former defenders of the Latvian national hockey team, Rodrigo Laviņš and Oļegs Sorokin, in the latest episode of the “eXi” program, remembered with laughter and fun their career in the Russian Super League (highest league) club “Molot-Prikamje” of Perm.

Former hockey players said that they flew to Perm in the middle of the night, but the airport was like an “iron room with an incomprehensible airfield”. The hockey players lived in a “hotel” located in a nine-story residential building. Hockey players were most worried about the salary they received, because after joining the club, the athletes received a significant amount of money as a bonus.
The day after their arrival, Laviņš and Sorokin tried to transfer money to Latvia in a “bank” located in the basement of a house. At that moment, the other visitors started to wonder at the Latvian hockey players. However, the two defenders decided not to make the money transfer, having returned to the “hotel”, where they left their money bags under the pillows and literally barricaded themselves in the room, putting the big hockey bags in front of the door.
The sports talk show “eXi” is a program created by Jānis Celmiņas and “Sportacentrs.com”, which can be seen every second Thursday on the “TV4” channel, and later also on the “Sportacentrs.com” portal. In it, former athletes review current sports events through the prism of former athletes.
