Romanian tennis player Simona Halephas once again shown its disappointment with the ITIA (The International Tennis Integrity Agency). The latest news in the case of her doping was that the agency reported that it was sanctioning the Romanian for the second time due to irregularities in her biological passport. Now, Halep has spread through her social networks that the ITIA would be trying to delay her hearing to be judged by an Independent Court, although that is not what the body is trying to show. In her statement she says the following:
“Once again I am extremely shocked and disappointed by ITIA’s attitude. While ITIA, through its representative, Nicole Sapstead, publicly stated 3 days ago that ITIA “has committed to engaging Ms. Halep in an empathetic, efficient and timely manner”, at the same time, they officially requested the Court to delayed my hearing for the third time. ITIA publicly states one thing while privately doing another. I have repeatedly requested my hearing and ITIA has repeatedly tried to delay it. When is it going to stop? I ask the question again. I have the right to a speedy hearing. Acting in this way is contrary to my right.”
