Work is currently underway on well “Cannata”located in Contrada Ritegno and stopped for about a year and a half. “Once reactivated – explains the Mayor – we will significantly limit the risk of water shortages in Scicli and Jungi. In recent days, it has been removed the old submersible pumpwith its adduction column, now disused and rusty. Yesterday, however, the specialized personnel has tested the flow rate of the well. This is a preliminary and necessary step for theinstallation of a new electric pumpplanned for the next week”.
“Thanks to the reactivation of the well ‘Cannata’ – adds Marino -, you will have the put in action of the Gurgazzi district water tank which, in fact, after that of San Matteo and the Rosary, will be the third ‘water lung’ of Scicli”.
The Mayor is working for achieve another goal in the coming months. “We hope to complete by July – he claims – the activation of the former Esa wellsite at Contrada Raspulla in Sampieri.
