Salary maneuver: Juve plea agreement, 718 thousand euro fine – Football

Seven hundred and eighteen thousand, two hundred and forty euro fine: this is it the outcome of the plea agreement on the so-called salary maneuver between Juventus and the Federcalcio prosecutor’s office recently endorsed with a ruling by the National Federal Court. The agreement provides for the waiver of any recourse by the Juventus club on pending matters. The position of former president Andrea Agnelli has been removed and will go to trial on 15 June. All the other executives waive any appeals to both the federal court of appeal and the guarantee college at CONI through the plea agreement. On the basis of the settlement, accepted by the national federal court, the Juventus club will pay the fine, to be divided between the club and the directors involved. As regards Agnelli’s position, it has been removed and will go to trial on June 15th. All the others renounce, with the plea agreement, any appeals both to the federal court of appeal and to the college of guarantee at the CONI.

Juve, we corrected but the agreement is a firm point to start again – “The company, reiterating the correctness of its actions, has deemed it appropriate to apply sanctions in the best interest of the company itself, shareholders and stakeholders”. Thus a note released by Juve after the plea bargain before the FIGC Tribunal for the salary case. “The definition of all the open FIGC sporting proceedings – continues the note – allows for the achievement of a certain result, putting a fixed point and overcoming the state of tension and instability due to disputes, allowing management, coaches and players to concentrate on the activity sports, especially next season’s programming”.

Gravina, ‘with the Juve plea agreement, more serenity for football – “There is a moment for verification, verification and judgments, but there is also a moment to decide and look to the future with greater serenity, all in absolute compliance with the rules. This last act is foreseen by our norms, desirable and shared and it is the most beautiful result of Italian football to find a moment of serenity”. This was stated by the president of the FIGC, Gabriele Gravina, after the federal council, commenting on the plea agreement with Juventus on the salary package.
