Azerbaijani judoka Rustam Orujov has been elected a member of the Athletes’ Commission of the European Judo Union.
This emerges from a report by the Azerbaijani Judo Association.
Rustam Orujov is considered one of the best judokas in Europe. In 2017 and 2019 he was second at the World Championships. In 2016 he won gold and in 2019 silver at the European Championships. He was a bronze medalist in 2017, 2020 and 2022 and won silver at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
