Río Negro sets its sights on the Patagonian Integration Games

The second Patagonian Integration Games will take place from May 25 to 28 in Puerto Madryn with the participation of young people from La Pampa, Tierra del Fuego, Santa Cruz, Chubut, Neuquén and Río Negro.

The competition disciplines will be table tennis, badminton, archery (these three are also adapted), Olympic lifting, Olympic wrestling, taekwondo, artistic gymnastics, tennis and, new to this edition, climbing.

Regarding the ages of participation of the athletes in all conventional disciplines, it will be up to 17 years, while for athletes with disabilities the age range will comprise from 16 to 25 years.

It should be noted that in the last edition, which was held in La Pampa in 2022, Río Negro took first place in the Games medal table by achieving 45 medals: 28 gold, 10 silver and 7 bronze.

To give the present in Puerto Madryn at the end of the month, selective tests have been taking place throughout the provincial territory and those selected from various disciplines have already been defined. In the next few days, prior to the trip to the Chubut town, the remaining ones will be announced.

In this way, Río Negro is already thinking about its next regional competition, after leaving a great image in the Para Araucanía Games, which ended last Friday and had the Río Negro delegation also at the top of the medal table.
