The Government of the Province of Buenos Aires extended the date to register for the 2023 Buenos Aires Games until May 5. In this edition there will be more than 100 sports and cultural disciplines, aimed at young people, adults and older adults, people with disabilities, transplant recipients and university and tertiary students. This year the “Intergeneration” modality will be incorporated, in which adults, seniors and youth can participate in a mixed way for the disciplines Orienteering, Trick and Tejo. Also, a Robotics Triathlon is included for people born between 2005 and 2011.
Among the sports activities are: aquathlon, chess, athletics, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, soccer in different categories and modalities, artistic gymnastics, golf, swimming, skateboarding, skate, hockey, beach volleyball, paddle tennis, softball, tennis and taekwondo, among others.
On the other hand, the sports disciplines for people with disabilities will be: athletics, 3vs3 wheelchair basketball, bocce, soccer for people with intellectual disabilities, soccer for people with down syndrome, soccer for people with cerebral palsy, swimming, tennis adapted table, sitting volleyball and people from Buenos Aires running (10 km for people with intellectual disabilities). They may also enroll in cultural activities such as folkloric dances, drawing, photography, malambo, theater dance, oral narration, painting and vocal soloist.
Also, cultural disciplines such as plastic arts and three-dimensional objects, cumbia musical group, freestyle rap, theater, video minute and Buenos Aires chefs stand out.
The competition will have three stages of dispute: The municipal one that will take place between May 1 and June 30, the regional stage that will be from July 1 to August 31, and the provincial stage, from September 15 to 20. .
