Red Sox: Kutter Crawford makes an incredible dive, but leaves the game due to injury

Boston Red Sox pitcher Kutter Crawford dived for a first base out during Saturday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Boston Red Sox recently ended their four-game losing streak last Friday by beating the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-2. On Saturday, the team had a chance to win the series. Let’s just say Red Sox pitcher Kutter Crawford was willing to do everything in his power to make that goal a reality.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Crawford faced Diamondbacks receiver Gabriel Moreno to start. But on a 0-2 count, Moreno hit a comebacker that hit Crawford in the ankle. Even after the impact, Crawford rushed for the baseball, lost his glove, and made a diving pass to first baseman Triston Casas to get the out.

After replay, the on-court decision was upheld, giving the Red Sox their first out of the inning. But there were some concerns afterwards.
