Brives-Charensac. A rain of medals at the Judo club Brivois. On Sunday May 14, the annual event of the Brivois Judo club “Les Médailles de Brives” took place.
Many Haute-Loire clubs were there. About 200 judokas, from 5-year-olds, judo awakening category, mini-chicks, chicks, 12-year-olds, found themselves on the tatamis with great enthusiasm.

“It’s really an animation that allows young people who do not compete, to give themselves to fight, without pressure,” said Annick Mozin, secretary of the local judo club. And to add: “For the youngest, the judo awakening program leads them to learn this sport…”
The day was rich in lessons and crowned with medals for all the participants. The first in each category were offered a manga by David Larose, 2004 world champion and European vice-champion.
After a break, a convivial meal between volunteers, teachers from the clubs present, committee members and young referees, the entertainment gave way to chicks then mini-chicks to end a beautiful marathon day.
At the time of the rewards, the Judo club Brivois wanted to thank the clubs of the department which took part in this beautiful day, but also all the partners, volunteers, the town hall of Brives-Charensac, the AuRA Region, the Departmental Council, the Crédit Agricole, young people from the arbitration school of the Judo 43 committee, the fire brigade association.
Thanks went to Christophe Charpenay, teacher and the whole team of Christophe Tavernier, president of the local club.
At the club
Belts and a garage sale. In addition, with 80 members, the club is making good progress among judokas: Philippe Goudard obtains the black belt, Florent Tavernier and Valentin Curbilié are close to their 2 e Dan. Very soon, during the club party, a demonstration will take stock of the belts and other recognitions. Note that the club will organize on June 4th a garage sale on the banks of the Loire.
