‘Pito’ Abreu ends the drought

Jorge Soler (from 4-0,K, .254) and Jose Abreu (1-for-4, HR, RBI, R, K, .214) made headlines last night among the alligator’s brightest diamonds. Although for different reasons.

On the one hand, the iyá saw his streak of five games in a row interrupted by sending balls beyond the fence. It did not matter, however, for the Fishes, with Yuli Gurriel (0-for-3, BB, K, .297) at first, blanked 2-0 and handed the Angels the broom in Anaheim.

On the other, the man from Mal Tiempo had his first whiplash of the year, the first with the Houston Astros and in 260 visits to the box, thus interrupting the greatest drought of his career. The whiplash resisted him so much that, when the ball fell on the other side of the fence of the left field, our man ran through the cushions, as if he couldn’t wait to get to the bench to hug his team, before whom he slid as if it were a play. He ended up cheered and cheered, seeking to reverse his initial luck in Houston —something for which he will still have to work hard, given the numbers—, with some Astros that beat the Athletics 10 to 1 Aledmys Díaz (1-for-2, .203). Seven home runs were signed at the Oakland Coliseum, two of them (14, top-10) from Yordan Alvarez (2-for-5, 2HR, 2RBI, 2R, 2K, .291), the first against a lefty and the second against a righty.

To eat and to take away.

Out there in Tampa and in Baltimore each other’s Rays Díaz, Yandy (2-for-5, RBI, .327), and the Orioles of Yennier cannon (IP, ER, 3H, K, 0.98), beat the Dodgers of they eat Martínez (2-for-5, HR, 2RBI, 2R, .276), who homered (10), and the young Woe, Miguel (0-for-3, RBI, R, BB, 2K, .229), who drove in one (25), and the Rangers adolis garcia (1-for-4, .249).

While, Aroldis Chapman (IP, 2H, K, BB, 2.75) had to sweat the shirt to hang a zero on the board, in coronation of the Royals against the Nationals, and the junior of the Gurriel, Lourdes (2-for-4, K, .315), had two hits on the Snakes’ bite against the Red Sox at triston houses (4-1, R, 3K, .200), 3 and 4-2.

4 to 11 and 5 to 6 in 10, for their part, the Phillies of Nick Castellanos (of 4-1, 2B, R, K, .300) and the Middle Benches of Robert (de 5-0, RBI, 3K, .256), Moncada (0-for-1, .280) and the great Great (0-for-4, BB, 2K, .262) against the Braves and Tigers. And although the Reds of Jose Barrero (0-for-4, K, .222) tied the Cubs 8-5, the Cardinals Nolan Arenado (4.2-of, 2B, K, .261) were caged by the Guardians, 3-4.
