In the penultimate championship, coach Grangetto’s men conquered the fourth consecutive success from five points, earning the offensive bonus point on this occasion as well. The red and white greeted their fans at the Beltrametti by dominating the away line-up throughout the match, winning with merit and conceding only one goal to the visitors during the second half. Again in the second half, coach Grangetto gave ample space to the entire bench proposing all possible changes. Piacenza clearly won – comments the President Daniele Boccuni – playing a game always in control and always pushing; there is still a bit of regret for the outcome of the championship, we could have done better even if we had to deal with various injuries to top-level players that could have made the difference. However, we have never stopped believing in it as we are aware that the potential of our athletes is definitely above what we have seen in some matches but the ranking speaks for itself and we must immediately start working to lay the foundations for the next season. The title of “man of the match” was assigned to Luis Mateo Torcoletti, author of two tries, at 11′ and 20′ of the first half. Appointment next Sunday at 3.30 pm for the last championship match which will see the red and whites away in Novara.
