The Peruvian badminton team had an outstanding performance in the first edition of the international tournament, Water Badminton, which took place in Jamaica, by winning the bronze medal in the men’s branch.
The team made up of jose guevara, Diego Mini, Sharum Durand, Hadrian Viale and led by José Antonio Couto, reached the last place on the podium, which was completed by Brazil (gold) and Venezuela (silver).
While in the female branch, our representatives ranked fourth after reaching the semifinals and losing to Dominican Republic. The team was made up of Paula La Torre, Inés Castillo, Namie Miyahira and Fernanda Saponara.
