The Azerbaijan Grand Prix, full of uncertainties and stress, was missing an ingredient to see. The clash between Fernando Alonso and the journalist Antonio Lobato. The reporter, who like everyone else has a limited number of questions in the so-called ‘corralito’ after the race, asked the third question. “What do you expect from the next Grand Prix in Miami?” “Let’s see what the future holds. The day before, Alonso launched a broadside at Carlos Sainz regarding a race incident in which he claimed a penalty for the Madrid native for closing him off when he left the line. «Carlos took me against the wall. It was surprising,” said the Asturian.
“It is what it is,” Sainz replied. He gave the impression that Alonso was right about Sainz’s maneuver, even though he was not paired with the man from Madrid. The FIA did not respond to his request.
