Oliver Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt is probably history

Oliver Glasner and Eintracht Frankfurt will go their separate ways at the latest by the end of the season.

At least that’s what the “image” reports. According to the German tabloid medium, a change of coach at Hessen is a done deal, only the timing is still open.

At a meeting with sports director Markus Krösche, it should be clarified in the coming days whether Glasner will leave immediately or whether he can still stand on the sidelines in the DFB Cup final against RB Leipzig.

Two Bundesliga coaches traded as Glasner’s successors

Ten Bundesliga games without a win and a freak out at a press conference sent the Austrian offside. According to the “Bild”, there has been a crunch between Glasner and Krösche for a long time. The good first half of the season, the Europa League title last year and the good performances in the Champions League drowned that out for a long time.

Contenders for Glasner’s successor are ex-Bayern assistant coach Dino Toppmöller as well as two domestic Bundesliga coaches. Both Matthias Jaissle and Christian Ilzer have been linked to the post in recent weeks.
