NBA: Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat) absent for game 2 against the New York Knicks

Jimmy Butler will not be on the field with Miami for game 2 of the second round of the NBA play-offs against New York, on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday. The Heat announced they would not be able to play the game due to a right ankle injury.

After falling in the fourth quarter of the first meeting, won by Miami (101-108), the winger seemed clearly diminished on Sunday. Top scorer in the play-offs (35.5 points per game), Butler played a decisive role in the qualification of his team at this stage of the competition. His absence could cost Erik Spoelstra’s men dearly.

The question now is whether it will be delivered in time for the third game, Saturday in Miami (9:30 p.m.).
