NBA: Bucks and Grizzlies honored in All-Defensive Teams

Defensive Player Of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. of the Memphis Grizzlies was the player with the most votes for the All-Defensive Teams announced on Tuesday.

Years Jackson Jr, The 23-year-old, who spent his five seasons with the Grizzlies, led the league with a career-high 3.0 blocks per game this season.

Other members of the All-Defensive Team are Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee) et al Brook Lopez (centre), Evan Mobley (Cleveland) and Alex Caruso (Chicago).

Jackson led Memphis to a record of 51-31 and second place in the Western Conference playoffs, but the Grizzlies lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.

Jackson received 96 first-team votes and a total of 195 points from a media panel, compared to 94 and 192 votes for Holidaywho was named to the first All-Defensive Team for the third time in his career.

This is the second consecutive season that Jackson is selected to this team and the first time the other three make it to the first team.

Holiday et Lopez helped former MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, to lift Milwaukee to an NBA-best 58-game winning record.

The second NBA All-Defensive Team is made up of Draymond Green (Warriors), d’O.G. Anunoby (Raptors), of Dillon Brooks (Grizzlies), Derrick White (Celtics) et Bam Adebayo (Heat).

This is the eighth career selection for Greenincluding four in the first and second defensive team, and the fourth for Adebayo, all in the second team. The others were named for the first time.
