Municipalia will take 6,000 children to play in the streets of León

The Paseo de Papalaguinda will become this Saturday the scene of the great event, ‘Municipalities’, of the Municipal Sports Schools.

Throughout the day, which once again takes place at the Walk of Papalaguinda which will cut traffic on that street throughout the day between Guzmán and the Plaza de Toros, 6,000 boys and girls from the 26 schools that have developed the sporting activity throughout the school year will participate. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a fun and innovative approach to sport is offered to all attendees through the schools.

‘Municipalia’ will consist of different zones: sports, leisure and adapted sports. The ‘sports area’ is made up of volleyball, badminton, handball, mini-basketball and basketball courts, futsal courts, as well as delimited areas for the sports of chess, table tennis, athletics area, Olympic boxing , climbing, archery (in horse riding), skating, pre-sports, rugby, mountain and adventure, rescue and first aid, rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics and kung-fu. There they carry out their main activity each of the Municipal Sports Schools.

Likewise, there is another ‘leisure area’ in the Children’s Traffic Park in which children will enjoy pedal karts and bicycles.

Finally, in the ‘adapted sports zone’ adapted sports competitions will be held such as volleyball, tennis, boccia, croquet and adapted recreational and recreational games.
