Memphis will tone down next season

So far we have come. That’s what Memphis seems to have said with the events that have taken place this season both on and off the track. The issue of Ja Morant, which was the main concern of management, has now been focused on ceasing to be those new bad boys that they have not finished achieving the desired successes.

Following that line, Tim MacMahon of ESPN He noted on his podcast that the Grizzlies would not bring Dillon Brooks back to the team “under any circumstances.” That extreme may be true, but the Tennessee organization has not liked it at all.

According to the aforementioned journalist, the franchise wants to make changes, but does not want to create the feeling that they are willing to cut heads without regard to achieve it. In this sense, the general manager of the team, Zach Kleiman, does not get wet with respect to Brooks, but he does make it clear that they are going to lower the tone for next season.

I’ll hang out with Brooks another day. I don’t have anything to comment on right now considering he’s headed toward free agency. We are going to take a different approach when it comes to the trash talk the next season. You will see a different approach from this team, but at the same time, self-confidence is important… Certainly, there is a very fine line there, ”says the executive to Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.

For the Grizzlies, summer 2023 is of the utmost importance. In the regular season they have already proven to be a very good team, but in the playoffs they have not yet started. The time to make decisions is approaching. We will see if they are correct.
