Throughout the season, many possible reasons were indicated for Club Brugge’s lesser performance. Some pointed to the board, others to the trainers and even the players were targeted.
According to a number of supporters, it is due to the fact that they have let Ruud Vormer go. Last summer they tried to get a worthy replacement with Casper Nielsen, but that turned out not to be a bull’s-eye so far. The Danish Bold now reports that Club has an old acquaintance in its sights.
They reportedly want Armin Gigovic – who will already be in the summer of 2020 linked to Anderlecht and Club – taking over from the Russian Rostov, although he has been playing for Midtjylland on a rental basis since January. The 21-year-old Swede is still under contract in Russia until mid-2025 and his value is two million euros.
