In the first meeting, Svitolina got off to a better start in both rounds with a 3-0 lead and then didn’t let anything burn. After 93 minutes, the Ukrainian won 6: 2, 6: 3 and celebrated her second title at the tournament in Strasbourg after 2020.
The 28-year-old wife of Gael Monfils should therefore travel to the Grand Slam tournament in Paris with a lot of tailwind. In the opening round at the Bois de Boulogne, the Italian Martina Trevisan is a semi-finalist from last year.
