“Makes basketball look simple”

Aaron Gordon considers that Nikola Jokic he has an uncanny ability to make basketball seem simple, yet miraculous, after the Serb turned in another outstanding performance Tuesday night at Colorado’s Pepsi Center.

The 2.11-meter-tall center turned in a great performance by registering 34 points, 21 rebounds and 14 assists in the 132-126 win over Los Angeles Lakerswhich allowed him to Denver Nuggets successfully open the Western Conference Finals.

It was the third consecutive triple-double in the playoffs this season for the star of Michael Malone’s team and for it he earned praise from his teammate. “It makes it look really simple. But it also makes it look miraculous at the same time. It’s ridiculous,” the No. 50 forward confessed.

Meanwhile, for teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (coincidentally a former Purple and Gold), who played with LeBron James during his time in California, there’s virtually no distance between Jokic and The King.

“I feel like the only difference is that Bron can jump higher than Jokic,” the 30-year-old guard said. “That’s the only difference I can see. I love playing with Jokic, a willing assist, dominant big man down there (from the rim). Just watching him do what he does … gets everyone else going.” he stressed.

For his part, Malone, strategist for the team that finished No. 1 in the West in the regular season, also had comments of praise for the star player. “I think when he felt there was a one-on-one, looking up and going to the basket, (Jokic) used that understated athleticism that he possesses to make the play. It was great to see,” he said.
