MISCELLANEOUS FACTS. A violent altercation with baseball bats involving several minors took place after classes at La Ruche high school on Monday evening in Magog.
According to what Lieutenant Carl Pépin of the Régie de police de Memphrémagog (RPM) reports, the fight took place after classes, around 4 p.m., at the intersection of rue Calixa-Lavallée and boulevard des Étudiants. .
Six young people between the ages of 15 and 17 were reportedly directly involved in the fight. A baseball bat was allegedly used as a weapon. A machete was also found at the scene, but no one was injured by it.
As of this writing, three people have been arrested by the RPM and more arrests may occur in the coming hours. Criminal charges will be brought against these individuals, including assault with a weapon.
It is confirmed to the RPM that the young people involved are students of La Ruche, but that some of them were already possibly subject to a suspension at the time of the events.
The event had also been announced beforehand on social media, so that there was a large crowd in the sector. We are talking about twenty young people who would have witnessed the scene, which was also filmed by some of them.
