loaned by Rennes, Guirassy commits to Stuttgart

Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy, loaned this season by Rennes to Stuttgart, has signed up until 2026 with the German team, which had a purchase option, the two clubs announced on Wednesday.

The purchase option valued between 9 and 12 million euros for Serhou Guirassy has just been exercised by the Bundesliga Stuttgart play-off. The 27-year-old center-forward that Rennes bought for 15 million euros in 2020 from Amiens will not return in Breton colors next season.

Relegated to the rank of luxury substitute last season in Rennes, Guirassy has largely won this season in Stuttgart, despite a tear in the adductors in February which kept him away from the field for almost two months.

He scored 11 league goals, including four in the last five games of the season. But the club will have to snatch its maintenance in the elite during a round-trip dam against Hamburg, Thursday and Monday.

Born in Arles, trained and launched as a professional in Laval, Guirassy passed through Lille, Auxerre and Amiens. He had already played in the Bundesliga with Cologne.
