Linz Grand Prix – Karel Foubert beaten in the third round in the under 90 kg category

After being exempted from the first round, Foubert won by ippon with a golden score against Azeri Eljan Hajiyev, who is more used to competing in the under 81 kg category where he is ranked 19th in the world. Hajiyev accumulated three shidos, and was therefore disqualified. In the third round, the 63rd in the world under 90 kg was beaten by the Swede Marcus Nyman, ranked 12th in the world. This one accumulated two waza-aris and the fight was over after just under three minutes. Three other Belgians competed in the Grand Prix of Linz, among the ladies.
