Leicester and Leeds Follow Suton Relegation to Championship

Southampton is the first team confirmed to be kicked out of the Premier League for the Championship. Soton, despite being at the bottom of the standings, made entertainment last weekend by drawing 4-4 ​​against Liverpool.

Leicester City and Leeds United have confirmed that they will accompany Soton to the Championship. On the other hand, Everton survived relegation because they beat Bournemouth 1-0 in the last week.

Leicester actually closed this season with a 2-1 win against West Ham United at the King Power Stadium, Sunday (28/5/2023) evening WIB. These results were in vain because the acquisition of 34 points still lost by two points to Everton, who are in 17th place.

Leeds was devastated when they hosted Tottenham Hotspur. At Elland Road, Sam Allardyce’s side were crushed 1-4.

“It was hard to accept. We knew we had to win the game and hoped something would work out for us. It didn’t,” Leicester captain Jonny Evans told Sky Sports.

Even though they were relegated, Evans believes Leicester will return to the Premier League soon. The Foxes happened to be the Premier League 2015/2016.

“This is a great club. I’m sure this club will bounce back,” he said.
