Langeoog’s judoka guest at TURA Marienhafe | Langeoog Current

For the first time, the judoka from TSV Langeoog on the mainland were able to take part in a training session organized by the Ostfriesland competition promotion in their new judo suits and red and black sweatshirts. TURA Marienhafe had invited to the gym in Upgant-Schott, the training was led by Claudia Ulrichs for the first time, with support from Langeogo division manager Heini Matzies, as two trainers were absent.

13 girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 14 took part in intensive training and coordination games for TSV Langeoog. The focus was on standing techniques, as well as floor and standing randori. The aim of the events is to train with judoka from other clubs and thus be able to prepare for competitions. All Langeooger children were enthusiastic and committed to the cause. Several parents supported coach Heini Matzies in looking after the kids.
