Lampard’s brutal honesty about Chelsea’s depravity

Frank Lampard’s job as caretaker manager of Chelsea has ended. Lampard can also be outspoken about the collapse of the Blues. Sharp words!

Chelsea ended the 2022/2023 Premier League season by finishing 12th in the Premier League standings. Chelsea ended the season with a 1-1 draw against Newcastle on Sunday (28/5) evening WIB.

Chelsea is in its worst season. The Blues were knocked out of the top 10, without a title, and lost all the time.

It seems that a change of ownership takes time that is not instantaneous to keep the team at the top standard. Buying young players at crazy prices and changing managers four times, in fact, is not a guarantee for Chelsea this season.

Frank Lampard, Chelsea’s caretaker manager, is out of contract after this season is over. The club legend was only able to bring the Blues out of the bottom table.

Lampard also recorded a dismal record. Only one win, two draws and six defeats in the Premier League!

Lampard gave a message to the new Chelsea manager later, namely Mauricio Pochettino. According to Lampard, Chelsea’s players are below standard.

“Let the coaching management later work to create a solid identity within the team. There is a lot of work to be done and a standard problem may sound simple but that is the problem of this team and cannot be solved overnight,” he said as quoted from the club’s official website.

Frank Lampard has sprayed Chelsea players more than once. For the last few weeks, Lampard has emphasized that the players must be responsible for the results on the field, because the fighting spirit and desire to win seem invisible.

“The collective standard of players has dropped, so we can’t play at the highest level and play fast like the Premier League,” he said.

“Every top team has to be with each other in the locker room, has to be vocal, has to compete and compete for his place in the squad.”

“This squad is also very fat filled with players who are disappointed for various reasons. The new manager will see with his own eyes and be grateful to have a pre-season,” he continued.

“I can be honest about it because now that it’s my last game, I probably won’t see many of them again,” he concluded with a grin.
