Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006, John Madden is a pioneer coach of the modern era of the NFL. He was indeed appointed Head Coach for the Oakland Raiders in 1969 at the age of 32 and won a Super Bowl with them 8 years after his appointment.
He kept his job for 10 years before becoming a commentator for American television, where he formed, with Pat Summerall, a duo that has remained iconic in the United States.
