Jeongseon-gun (Governor Choi Seung-joon) announced that it is concentrating its efforts on revitalizing the local economy by holding large-scale national and provincial sports events.

From the 13th to the 14th, the 2023 Jeongseon Arirang Cup Gangwon-do Children’s Taekwondo King Tournament on a provincial level will be held, followed by the 4th Jeongseon, Yeongwol, and Pyeongchang Tennis Championships on the 20th, and the 7th Jeongseon Arirang Cup National Open Badminton, a national competition on the 27th and 28th. Competitions are held one after another.

Prior to this, on the 9th, the Gangwon-do Governor’s Gateball Competition for the Disabled was successfully held, and the athletes and spectators who visited Jeongseon enjoyed the spring of Jeongseon.

Then, the ‘2023 Jeongseon Arirang Cup Children’s Taekwondo Championship’ hosted by the Gangwon-do Taekwondo Association (President Soo-woong Park) will be held for two days from the 13th to the 14th with 800 athletes participating, and will be held at the indoor gymnasium of Jeongseon Sports Complex at 2:00 p.m. Opening ceremony is held.

In addition, on the 20th, the 4th Jeongseon, Yeongwol, and Pyeongchang Tennis Championships kick off with the opening ceremony at 9:30 am at the Jeongseon Tennis Court and the auxiliary stadium, and the 7th Jeongseon Arirang Cup National Open Badminton Tournament will be held on the 27th and 28th. The event will be held in the indoor gymnasium of the General Stadium.
