With his extension last year, Kylian Mbappé took on a whole new dimension at Paris Saint-Germain, becoming the real center of the club’s project. This didn’t sit well with everyone as Neymar looked quite annoyed at times and Lionel Messi wouldn’t be an exception either.

Arrived in the shadow of Neymar in 2017, Kylian Mbappe became the only captain on board. THE PSG seems to want to build his whole project around him and with the summer transfer window approaching, many tracks seem to have been activated to satisfy him. An omnipresence that not everyone seems to support.

Messi wanted a club for himself

According to information from The Sports Gazette, Mbappe would be one of the reasons for Lionel Messi’s upcoming departure. The latter indeed seemed to be looking for a club capable of offering him what he was able to know at FC Barcelona. Unfortunately for him, the French star takes up all the space and this seems to have weighed in his recent thoughts around his future.

This is reminiscent of the various little hiccups that there may have been between Kylian Mbappe et Neymar. Several sources have also announced that the Brazilian would have heard rumors that his teammate would have demanded his departure, during his contract extension. What to tighten even more relations which seem since to be icy.
