Tijuana, Baja California.- Erik Morales Elvira, head of the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of Baja California (INDE BC) held a meeting with Arturo Contreras, director of School and Municipal Sports (CEDEM) of the National Sports Commission (CONADE). in which Baja Californian athletes will receive more support.
“We have an instruction from our director in which we have established the mechanism so that all municipal institutes can receive more financial support,” said the person in charge of CEDEM.
According to what the director explained, the institutes must coordinate with INDE BC in a shared responsibility since it can be delivered directly.
He also revealed that to access the resource they must be in the Single Sport Registry, provide a diagnosis of the disciplines that are practiced the most and would be done through a sub-directorate.
“This type of support will go to an area in which we can impact the bases since the objective is to generate physical activation, we are here to facilitate and support this type of initiative,” said the head of INDE BC.
At the meeting, which was attended by the sports officials from all the municipalities, they were told that they could also request training with experts in disciplines such as athletics and walking, table tennis, artistic gymnastics, boxing, weightlifting, tae Kwon do, judo, baseball 5, basketball and badminton.
