Chelsea is messing up. The Blues needed four wins to avoid his worst season in the Premier League. Can?
Chelsea have only won 10 wins and have lost 13 of their 32 matches in the league. As a result, the West London club sits in 12th place in the standings with 39 points, nearly 30 points away from Manchester United at the top and only nine points from the relegation zone.
Chelsea’s abysmal situation has made two managers: Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter lose their jobs. However, the performance of Kai Havertz et al with Frank Lampard, the interim manager, remained poor after losing the first three matches.
With six games remaining to the end of the competition, Chelsea are faced with an unpleasant record. Chelsea need 51 points to avoid their worst season in Premier League history.
Chelsea recorded the worst two finishes with 50 points in a season which occurred in 1995/96 and 2015/16. At that time Chelsea finished the season in 11th and 10th place in a row.
That means Chelsea must now get at least 12 points until the end of the season. However, Chelsea’s mission to avoid their worst season will immediately face a big challenge because they have to travel to Arsenal, Wednesday (3/5) WIB.
Meanwhile, in the next five matches, Chelsea also still have to face Manchester City and Manchester United in the last two weeks of the Premier League.
