Back to the Early Childhood Fair in Puteaux

On Saturday April 15, the Hôtel de Ville brought together Early Childhood actors for a day in the world of parenthood. On the program: conferences, round tables, shows, workshops, association stands and discovery of childcare articles. In connection with World Art Day, also on April 15, the Early Childhood Fair has taken over the Hôtel de City to invite all families to spend a fun and educational day on the theme of art and books. A whole day to calm the anxieties of young parents and bring art within reach of the little hands of our toddlers! Retromobile Show 2023

Dedicated to vintage and collectible cars, this international show will host the city of Puteaux in early February, which has a very rich industrial history. Organized from February 1 to 5 at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center, the Retromobile 2023 show will be able to count on the service of the Municipal Archives of the city of Puteaux among its exhibitors (Pavillon d’Honneur). Indeed, the industrial history of the City has something to seduce enthusiasts: Puteaux hosted, from the end of the 19th century to the 1960s, no less than 27 car manufacturing factories, including those of De Dion-Bouton, a manufacturer who marked the history of the automobile and having greatly contributed to its development. At the beginning of the last century, De Dion-Bouton was the most important automobile manufacturer in the world! The anecdotes around these vehicles are numerous and will be told to you by the City’s archivists at the Retromobile 2023 show. Did you know, for example, that it was a De-Dion Bouton which became the first car in history to join the Mer de Glace, in the Alps, in 1909?

Virtual Walks at the Wallace Family Home

Thanks to virtual reality headsets deployed free of charge by the Department of Hauts-de-Seine, the Maison de Famille Wallace invites residents to escape to the four corners of the world. At the end of the morning, Monique, Gisèle and Janine gathered in the hall of the residence before their departure for distant lands… thanks to an immersive headset! After a few settings on his tablet, Jeff, the residence manager, launches the start of this beautiful escape. “Last July, we were the first senior residence in the department to use these virtual reality headsets,” says Jeff. Since then, we organize a session, twice a month, which is really appreciated by the residents! It’s a way to break the isolation but also to make them work on their memory and revive their memories. » Immersion in the heart of the Amazonian forest, exploration of the seabed, visit to the heart of the greatest museums, relaxing getaways by the ocean… In total, more than 20 experiences are offered, to which several new ones are added each month. “It is often said that older people reject technology… On the contrary, I find this activity wonderful! The Olympics of Love

Challenges met for lovers! On February 11, the second edition of the Olympiads of Love took place on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. For the occasion, 35 couples (or duos) were on hand to take on various challenges at the Palais des Sports and on the Ile de Puteaux. overtake on different challenges: blind course, archery, crossing an obstacle course in pairs while holding a large ball, gym exercises or even Bungee Fitness (activity consisting of performing aerial movements while being attached by a rubber band hung from the ceiling). Lifts and acrobatic figures, dance steps reproducing a choreography broadcast on screen and Quiz were also on the program to make this day a unique moment!
