The ‘2023 Gyeongbuk Elderly Sports Festival’ will be held in Pohang on the 11th and 12th.
This event is hosted by Gyeongbuk-do and Gyeongbuk-do Sports Association and supervised by Pohang City and Pohang City Sports Association, and a total of 4,000 seniors, including seniors from 23 cities and counties and an invited Jeonnam seniors team (70 people), participate. .
There are 11 events in the competition, including gateball, national sport, ground golf, dance sports, badminton, soft tennis, gymnastics, soccer, table tennis, tennis, and park golf. The oldest male and female participants are Yeom Deok-sang (born in 1931, Andong) of gateball, and Yoon Bun-sook (born 1936, Yecheon) of National Science and Engineering.
The Jeonnam senior team will participate in six events including gateball, ground golf, badminton, soft tennis, table tennis, and park golf. During the opening ceremony, Song Jin-ho, president of the Jeonnam Provincial Sports Council, delivered a donation of 5 million won to love his hometown and prayed for mutual development between Gyeongbuk and Jeonnam.
