Gwangju Mayor Bang Se-hwan “We will host the 2026 Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival”

[분당신문] On May 4, Gwangju Mayor Bang Se-hwan encouraged the Gwangju City badminton team to participate in the ’69th Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival’ held in Seongnam-si, revealing a strong will to host the ‘2026 Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival’ in Gwangju.

At the table tennis game encouragement event on the 1st, Mayor Bang encouraged the athletes along with Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Council President Lee Won-seong, and will support the Gwangju City athletes participating in about 20 events until the 13th, when the 69th Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Festival comes to an end.

Mayor Bang said, “I wish all the players who participated on behalf of Gwangju City good health, and I look forward to the day when Gwangju City will host the Gyeonggi Provincial Sports Festival in 2026 and stand tall as a true sports city.”
