Geiger was already in the medical check

Dennis Geiger almost ended up at Eintracht Frankfurt. As the ‘Bild’ reports, the 24-year-old midfielder had already completed the medical check with the cup finalists and the contract had already been negotiated.

But in the end Geiger decided to extend his expiring contract with TSG Hoffenheim until 2027. The reason given by ‘Bild’: the homegrown TSG team didn’t dare to make the move to Frankfurt. Meanwhile, Geiger’s teammate Christoph Baumgartner (23) should no longer be on the SGE note. Eintracht found the flexible offensive man too expensive.
