Nothing to do for the Generali Futsal Ternana Under 17 category that yesterday, in the final of the Umbra Cup held at the Pala Palapaternesi in Foligno, was defeated by San Giustino. 8-1 the final result at the end of a hard-fought match that saw the Giallorossi team win thanks to a convincing performance from all points of view, both technical-tactical and personal.

However, coach Pucci’s boys took to the field with the utmost concentration and desire with which they have always distinguished themselves throughout the season but it didn’t help to bring the trophy home. There is disappointment but at the same time a lot of satisfaction from the club of president Luca Palombi who in the first year of the youth sector had a not indifferent growth path that made all its members proud.

THE MATCH – Under the orders of the referees Marcellini and Ravanelli from Foligno, after a chance from Luzzi, San Giustino took the lead thanks to Mancini. The 2-0 bears the signature of Bacchi, a result on which we go to the break. In the second half Cruciani has the opportunity to reopen the match but on the opposite side Aglini makes it 3-0 after a masterful action orchestrated by Mancini. Generali Futsal Ternana doesn’t fit and shortens with Cruciani and goes close to 2-3 with Luzzi but is punished by Bacchi on the counterattack. Mister Pucci activates the goalkeeper to recover the match but Aglini makes it 5-1 with an unguarded goal. In the final, the red-greens were out of fuel and the yellow-reds spread with Gatti, Bacchi who scored his personal hat-trick and again with Gatti directly from a free throw.

THE COMMENT – Red-green coach Alessio Pucci is disappointed but at the same time satisfied with the growth path he has taken.

“First of all I would like to thank the guys because they have always followed me, throughout the year. They have always wanted to honor this shirt and I sincerely thank them for having made this journey together. A special thanks goes to Lamberto Gentili and Riccardo Mancinelli because they have been close to me and the club for making all the facilities and material available to me for training. These are not sentences of circumstance but I really want to thank all the members. Today San Giustino deserved to win the final, we had two faces over the course of the year. The first part of the season we imposed our game, growing more and more due to the fact that we all trained with constancy and sacrifice. In the second half unfortunately many people did not train for school and physical reasons. When there isn’t consistency, it’s hard because then when you meet teams that don’t play 5-a-side football but 11-a-side football, they are physically superior to us, but if I do an objective analysis, I’m still satisfied because in one year we’ve brought some kids to first team and in the Under 19s. We confronted ourselves with important realities such as Lazio with whom we made an excellent figure therefore, to be the first year in which many kids did not know what this sport was, in just a few months we made exponential growth . The regret is because we wanted to bring home the first trophy at the youth level of this club, I take my responsibilities but I’m still happy because getting these results in one year isn’t for everyone”.
