The former coach of Riga “Dinamo” Vladimirs Krikunovs in a conversation with “RIA Novosti” expressed the opinion that the national teams of Latvia and Germany reached the semi-finals of the world championship because the Russian national team is not participating in the tournament.
It has already been announced that yesterday in the quarter-finals of the World Cup, Latvia caused a surprise by beating Sweden 3:1, while Germany beat Switzerland, the best team in Group A, with an identical result, whose only loss in the main tournament was against Latvia.

“The big European national teams and Canada lack motivation, that’s clear to everyone. Europe will play for bronze, while Canada and the United States will play for gold. As a specialist, it is interesting for me to watch the world championship, I was there in person,” revealed the former coach of “Dinamo” Riga.
