The launch of FC Bayern Munich’s new home kit for next season is causing tempers to heat up – both in terms of design and price.

Munich – FC Bayern Munich has presented its new home jersey for the coming season. Reactions to the football shirt are divided. In addition to the simple design, the high price is what causes excitement. The German record champions demanded a whopping 100 euros for the outerwear – without flocking the player’s name and number. The fans are generally dissatisfied on the social media platforms.

100 euros for the FC Bayern jersey is too much for many fans

A user wrote on Twitter under FC Bayern Munich’s post about the new home shirt: “The price is now definitely outrageous!” Another rather ironic comment was: “Next year please increase it to 125 euros. 99 euros is a real bargain.”

Another Twitter user was a little clearer and vented his displeasure: “The prices are cheeky. I actually wanted to get the new jersey, but not for such moon prices. ”With the knowledge that the high price setting would upset some supporters, FCB had apparently taken precautions. The association offers a discount campaign for orders until June 30th, which means that 15 euros for a flocking will be saved. However, that is only a small consolation, because in addition to the price, the design is also a point of contention for Munich fans.

The design of FC Bayern’s new home shirt is based on the days of promotion to the Bundesliga

In the design of the new home jersey, FC Bayern Munich alludes to times past when the current success of the club could not even be guessed at. According to the club’s official statement, the white shirt with red sleeves “is a reference to the home kit worn by the players in 1965 after promotion to the first division. The inside of the collar completes the design with the writing “Red & White for a Lifetime” complementing the “Mia san mia” at the back of the neck.”

While some fans were enthusiastic on Twitter, other users were irritated by the color choice: “I don’t particularly like the jersey. Our main color is red and not white!” Thomas Müller, on the other hand, can fully identify with the new jerseys of his heart club: “The colors red and white have been with me all my life. With this traditional design, the new home jersey stands for the success story of FC Bayern Munich,” as the long-time Bayern player is quoted on the club’s website. (jsk)
