When the phone suddenly rings…

FC Bayern basketball star Paul Zipser (29) took part in a fun campaign and made fun of Bundesliga referee Partick Ittrich (44)!

Zipser is in the playoffs with Bayern (from May 16) and continues to dream of a double. Would have thought that possible two years ago? In 2021, the former national player suffered a brain hemorrhage during the final series and had to be rescued by emergency surgery.

Then the long way back to the court began. The once best German player in Europe never gave up. This season he’s back in the Munich squad and continues to fight for the very highest level.

However, Zipser has not lost his wit and joy either on or off the pitch – as he is now proving again: together with influencer and YouTube star Paul Fischer, he took part in a challenge. One of the tasks: Who can say “FC Bayern Basketball” more often during a phone call?

In the second part of the YouTube challenge, Zipser called Bundesliga referee Ittrich, pretended to be FC Bayern basketball director Marco Pesic (46) and tried to convince Ittrich of tickets for Bayern.

For a long time he didn’t even know what was in store for him. But Zipser kept his nerve and kidded the completely irritated referee for minutes.

On Thursday (7 p.m.) Zipser and the team will play the penultimate league game against Heidelberg.
