Ex-player Club Brugge died in an accident at the age of 58

The young guard probably won’t remember him. Serge-Didier Kimoni, former professional at Club Brugge and Seraing, among others, died in an accident on Saturday.

Kimoni grew up in Liège and started his career at Seraing (where he later returned twice). Between 1987 and 1990 he also played three seasons for Club Brugge, where he was regularly in the starting line-up. He won the title in his first season under Henk Houwaert and was feared as a right back for his offensive impulses.

He retired from the lower leagues in 2005. It has since become known that he died in an accident.

We at Voetbalkrant want to express our deepest sympathy to the family and loved ones of Serge Kimoni.
