Disciples celebrate 6-0 shutout against Hünstetten

The Munich-Haar Disciples celebrated a 6-0 shutout against the Hünstetten Storm in game one of their double header on Saturday in the 1st Baseball Bundesliga South. Spotless pitching and appropriate run support provided the basis for Bayern’s success.
Lukas Bickel put Haar ahead in the second inning with an RBI single. A section later, Josef Rosenthal followed with an RBI double and Callum Murphy with an RBI single to make it 3-0. A sac fly by Callum Murphy and a momentous error that led to two runs made the final decision in the fifth inning.
Meanwhile, starting pitcher Nick Miceli had the Storm offensive well under control. In six innings, he only allowed five hits with nine strikeouts. Sean Cowan made the shutout perfect in the seventh round. On the other side, Jose Pimentel conceded the loss. Offensively, Victor Velazquez managed a double for Hünstetten. Otherwise they were only successful with singles, but could not get anything on the scoreboard.
