After national podiums on pistol, rifle and archery targets, the sportsmen of the region continue with underwater target shooting. The merit goes to Maëlle Baudon-Berry, a young swimmer, who has just exploded at the Palmés de la Seille with a 3e place won at the French underwater target shooting championship which took place the last weekend of April in Annecy.
Since Frédéric Burck, 2nd degree instructor and Jean-Louis Wahl, president of the club, added a crossbow and a target for snorkeling to their swimsuits, the club has developed underwater shooting for today have 15 members in this discipline: 4 trainers, 1 2 degree monitor, 2 judge trainers, 2 federal judges, 5 judges in training and 7 initiators-coaches.
Maëlle Baudon-Berry quickly got used to freediving and crossbow shooting to become a national hope.
Already a bronze medal in 2022
Last year she already won a bronze medal at the French championship. This season, she confirmed with a second bronze medal in the precision event. This place therefore entitles him to a ticket to compete in the 1is international youth open which will take place in Caen on May 26, 27 and 28.
