Diego Castañón awards sports scholarships to athletes from Tulum

Emiliano Escalante Perez, from the Judo academy, was the first athlete to receive this Thursday at the hands of the municipal president, Diego Castañón Trejo, a municipal sports scholarship of 10,000 pesoswhich is granted by the Tulum City Council with the purpose of strengthening the physical and sports preparation of great athletes from Tulum.

According to the statement, yesterday leading the delivery of scholarships to young people who make up the municipal sports academies, the municipe congratulated the athletes from Tulum and urged them to continue promoting results and representations in state, national and international fairs. He endorsed his administration’s commitment to support the sport 100 percent.

“Today, the scholarships we are giving are an achievement. Give more opportunity to all the kids who have scholarships so they can study because education is also important. Have a good future, have a good career. We have extraordinary athletes and we are going to support them one hundred percent. It is my commitment. I am also an athlete, ”she said.

On his occasion, the director of Youth and Sports, Rodrigo López Hernández, stressed that Tulum is the cradle of great athletes who are strengthened by these actions.

“Let the sport continue to shine in Tulum. The results are given with sacrifice, dedication and discipline. Congratulations and let’s continue promoting and you giving the result for the sport in Tulum”, he expressed.

The athletes obtained the payment of their scholarships for an amount of 10,000 pesos that includes the months of January, February, March, April and May.

In this event they accompanied the municipal presidentthe municipal trustee, María Teresa Arana Sánchez, the councilor Fany Gallego Sánchez, the treasurer Vicente Francisco Aldape Moncada, the income director Grisel Olianet Matheus García, parents and athletes.
