City all but clinch the championship with a clear win over Everton. After the game, Guardiola is annoyed by an opponent and accuses him of questionable methods. Did he pinch Haaland?

Pep Guardiola could have just been happy about the championship that is now almost certain.

At City’s 3-0 win over Everton however, he brought Everton’s Yerry Mina to the fore, with whom he clashed after the game.

Guardiola later accused the defender of insidious tactics but declined to go into detail. “It doesn’t matter what he does,” Guardiola said angrily. “Away from football: it’s not necessary to do what he does in every single game.”

After the game, that’s exactly what he told him: “And I said to him: ‘You’re good enough to avoid things like that.'”

“He knows (what he did). Ask him,” Guardiola didn’t want to go into detail. “There are things you don’t have to do, but he does. This time with Aymeric (Laporte), Jack (Grealish), with everyone. Ask him.”

As a result, speculation quickly spread online that Mina had tweaked his opponents. After the game, Erling Haaland’s upper body clearly showed signs of wear.

Whether the scratch marks on the Norwegian are due to Mina remains to be seen. But it was clear that the Colombian was looking for confrontations from the start of the game.

First he got into a fight with Haaland because he felt that he was being tackled too hard. Then he was involved in an altercation with Aymeric Laporte.

Ultimately, however, the drama surrounding Mina only distracted from the ease with which City dominated the Toffees. Because despite supposedly questionable defense methods, Haaland, captain Ilkay Gündogan, even scored twice – the course is set for championship.
