SC Freiburg meets RB Leipzig in a repeat of the last cup final. Do the people of Breisgau have the better end for themselves this time? Follow the first semi-final of the DFB Cup 2023 in the live ticker.

FFor coach Christian Streich, Bundesliga club SC Freiburg is in an “exceptional situation” – but in a positive sense. “We are currently in areas that are not to be expected, and then it feels special,” said the coach before the two important duels with RB Leipzig in the DFB Cup on Tuesday (8.45 p.m.) and in the Bundesliga on Saturday (3:30 p.m.).

When the final of 2022 is repeated (2:4 on penalties), the next trip to Berlin beckons – and in the league, the fourth-placed sports club could distance the Saxons with a win in the race for the Champions League spots for the time being. “I have no idea how the boys did it,” said Streich. “We worked hard for everything and got a few things as gifts.”
