Daughter of NFL player dies after falling into pool

The two-year-old daughter of Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett drowned this Sunday in the pool of the player’s family home

According to the Florida State Police, they were sent to Barrett’s home in the Beach Park neighborhood, located south of Tampa, shortly before 9:30 a.m. The football player’s youngest daughter, Arrayah, was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

“Today’s tragic news is heartbreaking to all members of the Buccaneers family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna and the entire Barrett family during this unimaginably difficult time. While there are no words that can bring true comfort in a It’s a time like this. We offer our support and love as they begin to process this profound loss of their beloved Arrayah,” the Buccaneers added.

Barrett and his wife have three other children.
