Cocuyos Golf makes an international stop at 3 golf courses in Bogota

THE NEW DIARY, COLOMBIA. – La Sabana, La Cima and Briceño 18 were the venues where the members of the Cocuyos Golf League made an international stop at their golf courses with a friendly tournament with 18 of its members who traveled to Bogotá accompanied by their wives to spend a weekend week of golf, culture and fun.

The players enjoyed three challenging courses, playing on the first day at La Sabana, Club Campestre, with 40 years of service, with its 18-hole par 71 course designed by Mark Mahannan in 1981, on a privileged topography on the banks of the River Bogotá, slightly undulating, with valleys, elevations and innumerable lakes, at an altitude of 2,600 meters above sea level, 6,345 yards and temperatures of 18-20 degrees Celsius, among pine and eucalyptus forests with natural music from the joyful singing of birds. “A majestic experience” as stated by Saúl Lithgow, Vice President of Cocuyos Golf League

The second day of play was the turn of the La Cima Golf Club, founded in 1990, designed by Boris Sokoloff, at an altitude of 2,718 meters above sea level, average temperatures of 5-19 degrees Celsius, with 18 holes par 70 and an extension of 6,089 yards. , «a great challenge for those golfers accustomed to using golf carts because in none of the courses we play there are cars, you must walk between mountains and rugged relief for which you must be physically and mentally fit, taking into account the cold , the altitude and the extension to cover these exuberant and beautiful golf courses” said Ramon Camejo, president of the Cocuyo Golf League.

The wives of the Cocuyos enjoyed a cultural and shopping agenda in the main centers and tourist places of Bogotá, while their husbands played the different fields and at night they shared dinner, dance and music in a perfect harmony of couples.
